In this half-day tour we'll get a closer look at some of the fascinating highland Maya villages around San Cristobal as well as a guided tour of San Cristobal itself. We'll leave the hotel at around 09:30 and head for the fascinating Tzotzil Maya settlement of San Juan Chamula, famous for its unique religious practices blending Catholic and Maya beliefs. During our tour, we'll learn about the culture and traditions of this remarkable community. We visit first their atmospheric cemetery with its Maya crosses spread out across a hill. And from there we'll wander through the village to the main church of the community. Our next stop, San Lorenzo Zinacatan, is another Tzotzil-speaking community. This is one of the most colourful communities in the highlands, and this can be seen in the brilliant red, blue and purple clothing embroidered with large flowers worn by the local people. You will start visiting the Archeological Site of Palenque: We will know the Calavera temple, the red queen, the palace, the cross plaza, ball game and the inscriptions temple where there are the remainders of the Maya ruler, Pakal. Then, Misol–Há: it is a wonderful waterfall which rises to 30 meters above sea level, hidden by the big vegetation of the place. Finally, Agua Azul: One of the most spectacular natural sceneries of México, where you can admire a waterfalls series that forms natural pools created over the Agua Azul River. The archaeological sites of Bonampak and Yaxchilan are incredible places lost in the Lacandona jungle that you can only visit after a long trip because the arrival is through a river and a jungle but once you get there you will never want to leave; the architecture is pure ancient art.

Admire the beauty of a canyon from over 120 meters. We are going down 50 meters to admire a community of parrots, and this is possible only in summer. Then, you will have the chance to rappel in a circular cavity which size is 180 meters in diameter and 125 deep, approximately. There, hundreds of parrots come back ascending in circles to the deepness to sleeps at night. After this experience we should return climbing to the top of a small perimeter trail to observe some local paintings. Finally, we will take you back to your hotel. Visit Aguas Azules, one of Mexico's most beautiful natural attractions and Palenque, one of its most important archaeological sites in this full day excursion. First stop after an early start and breakfast en route are the Cascadas de Aguas Azules, a series of shallow pools and waterfalls formed by rimstone dams. The shimmering, limestone rich water, coloured crystalline blue cascades down a series of these natural dams and ends in the clear, waist-deep Shumulhá River. You will have plenty of to swim and paddle in the designated areas. Next stop are the impressive falls at Misol-Há, a 120-foot drop of cascading water in a tropical rainforest setting that should have been the backdrop for a Tarzan movie. The final stop is the impressive Mayan ruins of Palenque. Palenque, carpeted by a sea of green jungle and clothed in history and legend, is a stark reminder of how Mayan civilization flourished for hundreds of years in this lush tropical region. Although the area is still being excavated, there is plenty to see here, including the Temple of Inscriptions, the Temple of Skulls and the Royal Palace. This is definitely a day to remember, we'll take a journey through the lush tropical rainforest of Chiapas in order to explore two unique Mayan archaeological sites. After an early (6am) start we'll head for Bonampak, stopping for breakfast en route. This archaeological site features colourful murals in many of its structures and buildings. The dense jungle that covered Bonampak for a long time helped to preserve the vibrant colours of these wall paintings. Then we'll move on to an embarcadero at Frontera Corozal where we'll board a boat for a journey down the Usumacinta River towards the archaeological site of Yaxchilan. This ancient Mayan settlement, known as the city of the green stones was one of the most important cities of the Mayan culture and is particularly known for its renowned for its beautifully carved lintels and many temples linked by a maze of courtyards and passage ways. These lintels, together with the stelae erected before the major buildings, contain hieroglyphic texts describing the dynastic history of the city. We will have plenty of time to explore the ruins and to climb the highest temple from where we can admire unforgettable views over the surrounding area before returning to our hotel where we will arrive at around 7pm. Visit the Sumidero Canyon and Chiapa de Corzo (first colonial city founded by Spanish conquistadores) and enjoy an unforgettable experience on this amazing tour that takes you to this fascinating natural wonder, located in Chiapas. Here will embark a boat then will take us on 2 hour ride through the high and steep sides of the canyon as we see stunning waterfalls, beautiful caves, and amazing cliffs. San Cristobal de las Casas. After a transfer to the jetty, take a boat to the canyon, and then enjoy a walk and the opportunity to admire its plant and animal life. Be on the lookout for crocodiles, monkeys and a wide variety of birds. Next on the itinerary is a visit to the colonial city of Chiapa de Corzo. Enjoy a unique experience in one of the most important reserves in Mexico: Metzabok Lagoon. Metzabok was included in 2012 in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves for having lush ecosystems. Metzabok Lagoon, which means Lacandon Maya God of Thunder, is located between the eastern mountains of Chiapas, in the Selva Lacandona in the municipality of Ocosingo Chiapas. It has over 82 hectares divided into 27 lagoons of various dimensions, surrounded by the dense vegetation of the mountains. This six-hour excursion will take you to a fascinating open-air museum near to Villahermosa, the capital of the State of Tabasco where you will be able to view a unique collection of artefacts from the Olmec culture. You'll be picked up from your hotel at Palenque at around 9am and taken for the short drive to Villahermosa where La Venta Park-Museum is situated. Walk past huge trees and luxuriant tropical vegetation as you admire numerous Olmec sculptures; the Jaguar's Head, the Monkey Looking at the Sky, the Colossal Head, the Human Jaguar, the Great Altar and the Old Man's Head are just some of the exhibits. Many of these artefacts were moved here when their original emplacement at La Venta, an island in the middle of the vast Río Tonolá marshland about 129 kilometres away was endangered by oil drilling. In addition to the famous heads, look out for large stones with finely carved deities and animals including dolphins and monkeys. The museum itself covers an area of

6. 8 hectares with a collection of 36 archaeological artefacts including altars, stelae and colossal heads and 33 monoliths dating from 1300-200 BC. The park is also home to over 650 species of flora fauna including mammals, birds and reptiles and flora representative of this tropical region.
