We will start the Tour with the bus pick-up from the different points of the Costa del Sol. First of all, we will arrive at Setenil de las Bodegas where we will have free time to stroll through the endearing town of Serranía. It is 45 minutes driving until Frigiliana in our comfortable van. We will cross the Axarquia valley. The excursion starts in the highest part of Frigiliana. This town is known as the most beautiful town in Málaga, and probably in Andalusia. Early in the morning, we are almost alone in town. The streets here are full of plants and pots which contrast with the white houses. We will visit the most beautiful streets in town while learning about their history and traditions. We will ascend until the highest part of the town through medieval streets stuck in time. Once outside the town, we will start to enjoy the panoramic views. There, you realize how tough were these steep lands for the first colonizers. Following the path, we will cross some avocado plantations in the way to the natural park. We are already in the natural park. We will take the Arab irrigation canal to get into the natural park. The views from there are breathtaking. We have the mediterranean sea as background and the Higueron river at the bottom of the valley. The walkway crosses a typical Mediterranean forest where we will discover the wildlife. It is time to come back to Frigiliana from the natural park. We will surround the Arab castle (Castillo de Lizar), which is in ruins before we enter in Frigiliana again. In this area, we will cross some of the most stunning viewpoints with views over Frigiliana and the mediterranean sea. We will visit another side of Frigiliana, descending steep pedestrian streets until the oldest cellar in town. Here we will enjoy a wine tasting with different local wines. Once we finish the wine tasting we will go to the starting point. We still have time to buy some local products. We always recommend trying the local avocados, chirimoyas, mangos and other tropical fruits. Once in the van, we come back to Málaga city center. In this Caminito del Rey tour from Malaga in a small group, you will discover one of the most beautiful gorges in the world. Departing from Malaga city center in our van (50 minutes drive) we will discover the Guadalhorce valley, a unique valley in the province specialized in the production of citrus trees. We will ascend and cross the mountains of Malaga and some white villages. Once in Ardales, we will get in the Natural Park, where you can enjoy the views of the Guadalhorce lake, the olive and almond trees plantation in a hilly landscape full of windmills. Once in the parking, we will start the Caminito del Rey hike (8 kms) crossing the tunnel and we will get into the forest. We have 1, 5 km until the entry of the oficial area and the first gorge. Once in the check-in area we have to put on the helmets and we get into the Gaitanejos gorge. You will be amazed by this narrow gorge and by the beautiful orange colors of the limestone. We will stop in some spots to discover the history and the wildlife of the natural park. Once finished the first gorge we will get into a beautiful valley. The views from the valley are beautiful with some stunning viewpoints to the next gorge. Once in the forest, we will do a relaxing picnic with local products at one side of the king's path. We are facing the last part of the valley and approaching the second and even more beautiful gorge. In Los Gaitanes gorge, the king's walkway is breathtaking due to the vertical views. We will discover some geologic phenomena, some fossils and some spectacular views until we get into the suspension bridge. Here you will feel like floating in the air suspended 120 meters over the river. The way back: We still have to cross the last part over El Chorro reservoir and hike until El Chorro village, where we will get the shuttle bus to come back to the starting point and then come back to Malaga in the van.
