Inspired by the likes of Dhafer Youssef, Antonio Forcione and bass guitar mastery reminiscent of Jaco Pastorius, instrumental genre crossing musicians Duende Indalo play an eclectic mix of world music fusing together Flamenco, Jazz, Middle Eastern, Classical, Latin and ambient sounds to create something wholly unique. Duende Indalo play with virtuosic rigour to create music that will transport you to every corner of the globe. Featuring the likes of legendary bassist Roy Martinez (Gina Williams, Hank Marvin, Dave Man Collective, Natalie Gillespie), virtuosic jazz drummer Greg Brenton (Steve Hensby Band, Mace Francis Orchestra), classical guitarist maestro Karl Hiller (Brodie Loves, Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics, Grace Barbe-Afro Kreol, Soukouss Internationale), Indian classically trained tabla player and percussionist Pavan Hari, and saxophone extraordinaire Marc Osboure, Duende Indalo create music that is both soulful and expressive and yet masterfully technical and musically refined. Known for his warm phrasing and effortless delivery, Turner pairs classic vocal charm with soulful saxophone lines, delivering these iconic songs with charm, class, and just the right amount of swagger. For this special performance at The Duke of George, Turner is joined by award-winning drummer Ben Vanderwall and an all-star lineup of musicians drawn from the very best of the local jazz scene. Together, they bring drive, finesse, and fire to the Great American Songbook—creating an intimate, high-energy performance that captures the sophistication, swing, and cool that made Sinatra timeless.
