Things to Do in Florianopolis

With over 40 impressive beaches, “Floripa” – the city’s nickname – offers so much more. On this tour, you will see the historical centre, where the little yellow charming Metropolitan Cathedral is located. In the most important square of the city, we’ll get acquainted with Praça Novembro XV (15th of November Square, named after the date in which the republic was proclaimed) where the imposing Palace Cruz e Souza, which now houses the historical museum of Santa Catarina. One other historical and visually striking location is the Ponte Hercilio Luz, the longest suspension bridge in Brazil., Named after the Governor of Santa Catarina who conceived the bridge to be the first connection between the island and the continent which unfortunately he never saw finished, as he passed away before the bridge was completed. The bridge is now closed to traffic and it is a national cultural heritage. But obviously, in a city like Floripa, the beaches and lagoons are still a must-see. One of our other stops is one of the most famous natural landmarks in the city, the Lagoa da Conceição. The neighbourhood houses not only a lagoon but also a few constructions dating back to when the city was colonized and settled. Nowadays the lagoon is used by locals and visitors alike for watersports, picnics, and for swimming. Its warm and calm waters are ideal for families to relax and keep an eye on the children. Departure at 7:50am from the north of the island, straight to Praia de 4 Ilhas. Then we go to Bombinhas, where we will visit Praia do Embrulho, then Lagoinha, where there is a place full of colorful fish in natural pools formed by rocks, and finally Praia da Sepultura where we will do a short walk in the middle of nature. Leaving the North of the Island at 8:30 am, we will go to Barra da Lagoa, where visitors embark at 10 am towards Campeche Island with hour-long navigation, passing several beaches on the East of the Island, such as Praia Mole, Joaquina and Galheta to arrive on the island, where the visitor can enjoy for 4 hours. How about a day at a theme park? But not just any park, the best of Brazil! Don’t miss a chance to visit the biggest theme park in Latin America, the Beto Carrero World. A Complex with over 14km divided into nine themed areas for adults and children alike. You will spend a day watching car stunt shows and musicals, riding Rollercoasters and Splash rides, going on scary adventures. Just don’t forget to leave a little bit of time to check the Local zoo as well. It’s certainly a must do for any family looking to have a good time. Start the day by leaving the North of the Island and head straight to the historic center of the city, where we stop to visit Praça XV, The Metropolitan Cathedral and Mercado Publico. Then, pass by the Hercílio Luz Bridge, where we get off and walk over the bridge. Stop by the viewpoint of Praça Hercílio Luz before continuing to Morro das 7 Voltas and stop at the viewpoint for photos. Continue to Lagoa da Conceição on a tour with panoramic views, then to Praia da Joaquina where you will have 1-hour free time to enjoy the beach and the natural beauty. Finally, take a panoramic tour of the Jurere Internacional area before heading to Santo Antonio de Lisboa, one of the most historical neighborhoods in the city. Most famous sunset in the city of Florianópolis. We will leave the North of the Island at 4:30 pm, heading to Santo Antonio de Lisboa. Where we will take a guided tour, in what is one of the most historic neighborhoods in Santa Catarina. We will visit the beach, the historic street of stones where Emperor Dom Pedro II passed. After visiting the place, we go to the Freguesias Oster Bar Restaurant in Santo Antônio to taste oysters and Caipirinhas, included in the tour for every 2 people. It includes 1 caipirinha per person and a portion of 6 oysters for every two people. We will pick you up from your hotel in the areas of Canasvieiras, Ingleses, Jurere, and downtown. Leaving the North of the Island at 9:30 am to the Parque Florestal Rio Vermelho. Where we take the river transport to Costa da Lagoa. There we will take the trail to the waterfall, where we will stay for about 1 hour. Then we visit the historic sites and shops of the fishing village, including the Church of the Cross. After this period, we stayed in Barra da Lagoa, enjoying the day, and as an option, customers can have lunch in one of the typical restaurants that are in Beira da Lagoa and serve typical food. Departure at 05:30 am from Canasvieiras, Ingleses, Jurere and downtown. We will leave Floripa/São José/Palhoça towards Serra. And on our first stretch, we go straight to Urubici, where we will make our first stop at Portal Da Cidade for 15 minutes. After the stop, we continue to Morro Do Campestre where we will visit a panoramic viewpoint: At the top of Morro Do Campestre, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views. A privileged view of the region, reveals the beauty of the mountains, valleys, and rivers that make up the local landscape. (tickets included). After this amazing stop, we'll visit a local products shop, full of amazing pieces for souvenirs and gifts. Then we will continue towards the Lourswa Grotto. Contemplate natural beauty and religiosity: The Grotto of Lourdes is a place of great religious importance and natural beauty. The cave is marked by its enchanting landscape, with impressive rock formations and a peaceful and serene atmosphere. After this refreshing visit, we will stop for lunch. (Not included) After lunch, we will visit the imposing natural beauty of Cascata Da Barrinha . Known for its stunning natural beauty. Located in the middle of a mountainous landscape, the waterfall is impressive, forming an enchanting visual spectacle. Then we will continue to the famous Bom Jardim Da Serra Viewpoint , where visitors have a privileged and wide view of the Serra do Rio do Rastro. Speaking of which, after appreciating this incredible view, we will enjoy the experience of going down the entire Serra do Rio do Rastro , contemplating the mountainous landscapes, with their sinuous curves and slopes covered with vegetation, dazzling a breathtaking scenery.
