Once you arrive at Rancho Miramar, your guide will give you a brief explanation on how to ride a horse and some useful tips on security. Once in downtown, we will take pleasure in a guided visit to the government palace and the cathedral; at the end of this visit you will have free time to explore. You can sink into the history of the ancient culture living in this area by visiting the two main archaeological sites: la Campana and El Chanal. La Campana, distinguished by a mound in the shape of a bell, is roughly 15 minutes from the city. El Chanal reached its peak between 1000 and 1400 AD and includes a Mesoamerican ball court, the Plaza of Day and Night, the Plaza of the Altars and the Plaza of Time. Glyphs like those found in central Mexico can be seen on stairwells on pyramid bases. Do not miss the great museum, an amazing Ex-Hacienda.
