The mission of the Fundació Mas Miró aims to spread the link between the life and work of Joan Miró through the context that marked his career : Mas Miró and the landscape that houses it, in Mont-roig del Camp, Mas Miró aims to be a center of reference of Miró's art and the dissemination of culture and art in the territory of Mont-roig. Mont-roig , as a source of inspiration, and Mas Miró , as an intimate space, are places to discover the artist's most intimate side. Knowing and understanding this context, so influential in the artist's life, will allow us to reinterpret his work. The Foundation's values are based on a deep respect for the land and nature, a distinctive feature of the artist and a very influential aspect of his work. Joan Miró always conceived Mas Miró as a place to welcome friends, neighbors and family, from illustrious artists seeking to share a peaceful and inspiring environment to neighboring peasants who gathered in the chapel of the farmhouse to practice their faith.
