Explore one of Bali’s leading temples as the sun goes down, a truly spiritual experience! We head to the southern-western tip of the island to visit the 11th century Uluwatu Temple, one of six prominent shrines recognized as one of Bali’s ‘spiritual pillars.’ This exquisite structure is located on a cliff, 70 metres above the sea with an amazing panorama, especially as the sun sinks into the ocean. There is also the possibility to watch a Kecak Dance performance near this site. This is a Balinese Hindu dance and music routine developed in the 1930s. Also known as the Ramayana monkey chant, this is performed by a circle of performers wearing checked cloths around their waists who shout percussive chants as they dance. Afterwards, return to the hotel, or enjoy dinner at an optional restaurant (charged to your own account).
