    HILLOWEEN PRESENTS: BAD SCIENCE

HILLOWEEN PRESENTS: BAD SCIENCE It's our 6th Halloween extravaganza, and every year we strive to make it bigger, better and badder than the last. Our venues - the Garrison Gallery and Patchwork - will undergo a scarily scientific transformation for one night only, with a lineup set to rattle your bones and spine-numbing DJs spinning all night into the morning. From 5:30pm we'll be running the Hilloween Olympics - think tug of guts, escape the virus and spooky bushtucker trials, with prizes up for grabs. Bad Versace will be sending shivers down your spine with an experimental DJ set running allll night into the morning in Garrison. From 8pm the bands kick off in Patchwork - local legends Kill the Gun, followed by Bristol's own Strange Futures, whose electro-punk dance party collides head-on with an ethereal goth séance, before the night is torn apart by JUNKIE KUT - genre-destroying speedcore, gabba and industrial punk chaos, battle-tested across 15 countries and built for the outcasts, the freaks, and anyone ready for a full-on assault on the senses. In true Maker style, expect impromptu performances, costume competitions, delicious themed cocktails, and the iconic Notch photobooth capturing every last one of your creative costumes. This is one not to miss! /// Patchwork Studios operate a diverse and inclusive programme of creative events. From firm festival circuit favourites, undiscovered local acts fresh on the scene, and underground DJs from across the region, to some of the most exciting acts smashing into the national limelight; you’ll find it all up at Maker Heights. These events vitally support our rural community offerings, helping us to improve social integration, while also celebrating culture and inspiring creativity. Between April and October, camping is available separately via Maker Camp website. Our Tavern within the venue is open until late during show nights, dishing out all the finest local tipples to keep you hydrated, plus Garrison Gallery are often serving up a storm of cocktails within their magical art-adorned walls next door. Lil Pizza Heaven are usually parked up on site on a Saturday evening too to keep you fuelled. Why not make a weekend of it while you’re here? The Canteen opens at 9:30am the next morning for coffee and breakfast, and during the camping season, you'll find delicious homemade scran to keep your bellies full into the evening, over by the campsite entrance. The twin fishing villages of Kingsand and Cawsand are only a short walk away, as are their lovely beaches, and the Southwest Coast Path runs straight past too.

SHEARWATER + LOMA special pre-EU tour gig!

Pinch us: Shearwater AND Loma are playing a special gig right here at Patchwork! This is a big deal for us and we know you're going to love it too. Two internationally acclaimed bands are about to embark on their first European tour in eight years, and they're warming up in our venue atop the hill. We are giddy with excitement. Loma and Shearwater are co-headlining the "When Can I See You?" tour, 18 shows across northern Europe and the UK this November. It's the first time either band has performed live since 2018, and London has already sold out. Shearwater Over more than two decades, Shearwater has built an epic, adventurous body of work. Led by singer and writer Jonathan Meiburg, his songs range from intricate miniatures to grand landscapes, walking the line between joy and sorrow, hope and anger. Shearwater has toured with everyone from St. Vincent to Coldplay and in 2018 performed an elaborate reconstruction of David Bowie's "Berlin" Trilogy for WNYC's New Sounds. Their latest album, The New World (
